On 20 February 2025, the time had finally come again: CHEMIA BRUGG hosted the seminar day for public swimming pools – and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive! With around 120 participants, the event hall was packed to the last seat. The atmosphere remained consistently engaged and enthusiastic, which was reflected in the numerous interactive discussions.
A Strong Start with a Premiere
The official opening was given by our team leader, Besim Fej. In addition to organisational information, he introduced a special innovation: the launch of rentabademeister.ch. This platform aims to help public swimming pool professionals efficiently bridge short-term staff shortages – an innovative service that was met with great interest by the participants.
In-Depth Expert Lectures
The content of the seminar was diverse and practice-oriented. One of the most talked-about presentations was “Conflict Management” by Irene Gasper, which struck a chord and sparked intense discussions.
Equally well received was the presentation “Everything in Flow: How Modern Pool Pumps Can Reduce Energy Costs” by Herborner Pumpen. The feedback was consistently positive:

Mini Trade Fair: Direct Exchange with Experts
Another highlight of the day was the accompanying exhibition with ten stands, creating a kind of mini trade fair. Here, participants had the opportunity not only to interact with the speakers but also to get to know some of CHEMIA BRUGG’s key brands and products. This opportunity was eagerly seized, and the concept of personal discussions at the stands was widely praised.
A Relaxed Conclusion with an Aperitif
After an intensive day, discussions continued over a shared aperitif. The relaxed atmosphere provided the perfect setting for networking and in-depth conversations, extending the event into the early evening hours.
Positive Feedback Confirms the Success
The participant feedback speaks for itself: the majority rated the seminar day as “good” or “excellent.” The well-structured organisation, the variety of topics, and the friendly support from the CHEMIA BRUGG team were particularly highlighted.
When asked whether they would attend another seminar day by CHEMIA BRUGG, 71% answered “definitely” and 28% said “probably yes” – not a single participant who completed the feedback form rejected the idea of attending again. This is a strong sign that the event will continue to be in high demand in the future.

CHEMIA BRUGG has comprehensively renewed its existing tank farm in Brugg. The ageing plastic tanks have been replaced with new ones, including a stainless steel tank designed for highly concentrated sulphuric acid. All tanks are equipped with an inlet filter to prevent contamination. This means that the tank farm is now state-of-the-art. This modernisation is the result of months of planning and precise coordination.
Challenging replacement during ongoing operations
The replacement of the tanks took place while operations continued. The tank farm is located in a building complex with cassette roofs. To remove the old tanks and install the new ones, the roof cassettes were lifted by crane. This complex logistical operation required close coordination between all parties involved and minimal downtime, as daily business continued, albeit during a quieter off-season period.
Despite this logistical challenge, not a single customer order had to be postponed. The CHEMIA BRUGG operations team did an outstanding job.
Technical optimisations for improved quality
The new plastic tanks for Javel are equipped with a PVC liner, meeting the highest safety and quality standards, particularly in the highly quality-sensitive swimming pool industry. The storage capacity has been doubled.
The new stainless steel tank is used for storing highly concentrated sulphuric acid. It enables targeted and flexible supply of sulphuric acid required for downstream dilution processes. CHEMIA BRUGG operates one of the few sulphuric acid dilution plants in Switzerland, allowing for the provision of customised concentrations.

The renewal of the tank farm is more than just a technical upgrade. It ensures a long-term supply of base chemicals.

An anniversary full of highlights and encounters
To mark the 50th anniversary of our cleaning brand DESPRO, we invited our customers and business partners to celebrate this special milestone with us on Friday, 6th September 2024. The event took place at All IN BOWLING & MORE in Bremgarten and offered a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
From 5:30 pm, we warmly welcomed our guests on site and presented each with a goodie bag. This contained product samples, small customer gifts, and the specially created DESPRO room fragrance ANNIVESSENCE – a special edition for this unique occasion.
A special highlight of the evening was the exclusive DESPRO anniversary cocktail, which accompanied our guests right from the welcome and throughout the event. In a relaxed atmosphere, visitors could engage in various activities, including bowling, laser tag, billiards, darts, table football, and much more.
From 6:30 pm, we opened the buffets from Zürichsee Gastro with a selection of soups, salads, grilled dishes, pasta, and an exotic curry. The crowning finish was a selection of delicious desserts. Our guests thus had plenty of time to indulge in culinary delights, whether between a game of billiards or a round of bowling. The bar remained open all evening, providing the opportunity to quench their thirst at any time.
The event lasted late into the night, and the atmosphere was excellent throughout. The film crew from Salient Media was on hand to capture the best moments of the evening.

On Thursday, February 8, 2024, the X-PERIENCE DAY 2024 took place at Wydehof in Birr. The informative seminar day for swimming pool retailers provided unique insights into the latest developments in pool technology and water treatment.
Knowledge transfer and innovation in focus
The participating pool retailers, press representatives, and association representatives were welcomed by CEO Patrick Bossart and guided through a diverse agenda, ranging from informative presentations by leading experts to five interactive workshops. A highlight of the day was the informative and entertaining safety experiments, which emphasized the importance of responsible handling of chemicals in the pool sector. In addition, inspiring presentations, such as those on efficient underwater lighting and precise PVC connections, provided valuable insights for the future of the industry. Emphasis was placed on exchange among participants, creating an atmosphere of learning and networking that was particularly enriching for all involved.
A special trade fair presented innovative products and solutions that are pioneering for the future of pool technology and maintenance. Visitors took full advantage of this opportunity to learn more about the exhibits and examine them closely.
International flair and cross-border networking
With guests from Switzerland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Germany, the X-PERIENCE DAY offered a unique opportunity for cross-border exchange and networking. aqua suisse President Enrico Ravasio also presented new association training sessions aimed at further advancing professionalism in the industry.
